Meet A Few Reclaimed Residents & The Caretakers

Fluffer.jpg

Fluffernutter

Calm and wise, Fluffernutter was one of the few original Angora rabbits who belonged to our recently passed, beloved friend and Aunt Nicki. Her legacy continues when she passed the care of Fluffernutter and the rest of her rabbit colony to Reclaimed Ranch. His favorite snack is dandelions.

Moby.JPG

Moby

Cheeky and loving. Moby is a Khaki Campbell duck breed. She came to us from a neighbor who rescued her from a dangerous situation. The other ducks she was with as a duckling threatened her and her sisters. She was the sole survivor and has an everlasting grit because of it.

Ollie.jpg

Ollie

Shy but charming. Ollie is a Llapaca aka Huarizo (half alpaca, half llama). While actively looking to add a third to the male Alpaca herd, out of nowhere a neighbor stopped by with a serendipitous offer realizing they couldn’t give him the care he properly needed.

Melissa Kaale

Melissa worked as a traveling nurse and Kentucky stole her heart during her contract at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. She decided to get off the road, settling in Williamstown & fulfilling her dream of rescuing Alpacas and other rich-fiber animals. She uses her medical background to take extra good care of the rescues.

Ashley Kaale

An avid animal lover with professional experience as a pet caretaker. When Ashley’s mother Melissa proposed the idea of starting an animal rescue, Ashley didn’t give it a second thought. Her favorite hobby is using fiber she gathers from grooming rabbits for knitting projects.

Jason Collett

After working for an environmental non-profit in the nation’s capital, Jason was happy to be part of a new do-good mission helping animals. With plenty of enthusiasm to make the farm successful, he takes on a variety of projects from building rabbit runners to planning events and lots in-between.
